Apple belatedly reveals bug fix that was on iOS 10.2.1

Even though iOS 10.2.1 was released last month, only now is Apple revealing that the update included a bug fix for certain models of the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. Apparently, some of these iPhone models were abruptly shutting down after being given a task that required heavy duty processing power. Those units containing an older battery were more likely to shutdown after trying in vain to handle what was asked of it.

The update didn't completely exterminate the bugs, but Apple claims that with the release it has seen a decline in the number of iPhone 6s shutdowns ...
