Nokia 6 first to get July security update, patch yet to be released on Google's Pixel devices


HMD Global, the current manufacturer of Nokia handsets, is serious about delivering timely updates to its smartphones. The Android security update for July 2017 is now rolling out OTA for Nokia 6 units across Taiwan and Hong Kong. 

Weighing in at 149MB, the new firmware brings the latest fixes for security vulnerabilities found on the Android platform. It's interesting to note that at the time of writing, the patch is not even out yet for Google's own Pixel flagships, nor is it present on the Android Security Bulletin.
