Samsung executive explains why the Galaxy Note 8 has a smaller battery than the one on the Note 7


While for the most part the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 was greeted with open arms upon its unveiling last week, there is one part of the phone that has potential buyers worried. And that is the battery. Last year's Samsung Galaxy Note 7 carried a 3500mAh battery compared to the 3300mAh cell that comes with the Galaxy Note 8. Considering that problems with the batteries used on the Galaxy Note 7 led to the explosions that caused the phablet to be recalled twice, it would seem to be a normal response by Samsung to load the new model with a lower capacity cell. But that doesn't seem to be the reason ...
