Patent hints at Samsung Galaxy S9 having a display notch with an embedded fingerprint sensor

A new patent application has just popped up, revealing a rather saucy and intriguing tidbit of info pertaining to the Galaxy S9 and S9+.

According to it, Samsung could be entertaining the idea of taking a page of Apple's and Essential's books and toying around with a bottom-placed display notch, which would be used to house an front-facing fingerprint sensor. That way, it would be placed way more conveniently than the awkward sensor on the Galaxy S8, S8+, and Note 8, which requires you to really stretch out those index fingers of yours.
