VLC for Android receives a major update that adds Android Auto and picture-in-picture support

VLC, one of the most popular media players for Android devices, hadn't received an important update for almost a year. Today, developers announced they have decided to deliver a host of new features to VLC via a comprehensive update.

If you've been a VLC user, then you'll be pleased to know that the media player will be getting PiP (picture-in-picture) support on Android Oreo devices, as well as Android Auto implementation.
