Google Arts & Culture—briefly known as "that one app that matches your selfie to a famous work of art"—now lets you tour remote world heritage sites in VR. Called Open Heritage, the new project by Google and nonprofit CyArk introduces 26 world heritage sites in 18 different countries from all around the world, realised in 3D and explorable in VR. Of course, everything is padded with a healthy dose of useful information about all the locations.
