
Last week, SB 822, a tough net neutrality bill written by California State Senator Scott Wiener, was gutted by Democrat Assemblyman Miguel Santiago, who attached a number of amendments to the proposed legislation. The result was a bill that Wiener himself called "not worth passing." Why would Santiago do such a thing, especially since net neutrality has become a major campaign issue for the 2018 mid-term elections?
