There seems to be no way to disable auto brightness on iOS 11! Try it yourself: open the Control Center and adjust the brightness manually via the slider, and you will see that when environmental conditions change, the screen brightness will also change.
So... how do you turn off auto brightness on iOS 11? Is it even possible?
The short answer is yes, and the longer answer is that the option is now hidden deep in the menus as Apple obviously believes that most people will not need to use this option at all, so this becomes somewhat of a power user feature ...
