LG reported its second quarter results today, and overall the company reported operating earnings of 771 billion Won (equivalent to $715.1 million USD), up 16.1% from last year's Q2 results. But LG is losing money with its mobile communications unit. For the period from April through June, this division had sales of 2.07 trillion Won ($3.54 billion USD), which resulted in an operating loss of 185.4 billion Won ($171.95 million USD).
