
New York Attorney General Barbara Underwood has revved up her office's investigation into the proposed merger between T-Mobile and Sprint. The office started looking into the transaction weeks after the deal was announced at the end of April, but has added additional antitrust staff according to a story in the New York Post. The Attorney General's main concern is that if the deal is completed, the pre-paid services offered by T-Mobile's Metro unit and Sprint's Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile brands will rise in price.
