Spotify's premium subscriber base continues to grow in the US, nears 40% of users

Most of Spotify’s users may be using the free tier of its service but that doesn’t mean its premium subscriber count isn’t growing. In fact, according to the latest report from Consumer Intelligence Research Partners, almost 40% of Spotify’s US users are paying subscribers.

As of September 2018, the percentage of premium users sits at 38%, a figure that is up from the 36% that was reported just three months earlier.
