Sprint is trying to come on par with the competition in the United States by finally soft launching VoLTE (voice over LTE) in selected markets. The new service will only be available in 15 cities in the United States, and it will only be compatible with three smartphones at first.If you're a Sprint customer and live in one of the areas where the carrier plans to greenlight VoLTE, your Calling Plus feature will be replaced by the new service via a software update that will be released in October along with the security patch.
