The Samsung Gear Sport is not necessarily a better smartwatch than the Gear S3, but it is newer, having seen daylight in the fall of 2017. As such, the sportier, lighter, and thinner wearable device doesn’t appear to be getting discounts as hefty and as often as its “cousin.”
But for a no doubt limited time, the reasonably elegant black model is available alongside the unlocked Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ at no extra charge. The free Gear Sport normally carries a $279.99 recommended price point, although we’ve grown accustomed to seeing it fetch just $199.99 these past couple of months.
