Amazon Fire HD 10 gets a refresh with USB-C, faster processor, longer battery life, and new Kids Edition

Amazon just announced its ninth-generation Fire HD 10, the first updated model since 2017. It still sports a 10.1-inch, full-HD display, but it arrives with a slew of updates, including a new processor, a bigger battery, and a USB-C port (finally!) to replace the microUSB previous models had.

The processor is an octa-core 2.0GHz chip, which should provide a significant step up in performance compared to the quad-core 1.8GHz it used to have. The battery has also received a boost, with up to 12 hours of mixed usage and faster charging, too. Amazon also says the tablet offers “enhanced Wi-Fi” ...
