Carrier confirms Samsung Galaxy A5 will get Android 7.0 Nougat update in late January

The original Galaxy A5 is more than two years old, but Samsung will continue to support the phone with major Android updates in the coming months.

The smartphone that was launched on the market back in 2014 shipped with Android 4.4 KitKat onboard. In the meantime, Samsung released two major Android OS updates that brought the phone to Marshmallow.
