Soak test for the Motorola Moto X Pure means that an update to Android Nougat is coming soon

Some owners of 2015's Motorola Moto X Pure Edition are starting to receive notification about a soak test that is being held before the phone is updated to Android 7.0 or Android 7.1. With the soak test, a small number of Moto X Pure Edition units, registered with the Motorola Feedback Network, receive the update. Tests are conducted to make sure that everything is working smoothly. If there is a problem, only a small number of handsets are affected, which is the reason for doing a soak test in the first place.
