Andy Rubin's new high-end Android smartphone to be unveiled later today?


Back in January, word leaked out that Andy Rubin was working on a high-end Android handset that was said to be aimed at the Google Pixel and the Apple iPhone. What makes this a big deal is that Mr. Rubin is considered to be the "Father of Android." After leaving Android in March 2013, he departed Google 19 months later. By December 2015, there was speculation that Rubin was about to start a new company that would produce Android smartphones. The name of the company is called Essential Products, and we expect it to make Rubin's unnamed Android handset official later today.
