Google kills off instant search on mobile devices


Seven years ago, Google introduced Google Instant – a feature that predicted what you were searching for and displayed results as you typed. People were divided on instant searches, with many complaining that the feature slowed down their work, as results had to be displayed before you could continue, while many others found it useful and time-saving.
