A few days ago, Samsung said that all Galaxy Note 8 units (unlocked and carrier models) in the US would be updated to Android 8 Oreo in 2-3 weeks. Today, perhaps sooner than many users had expected, AT&T became the first carrier to deliver Oreo to the Note 8.
The Android 8 Oreo update that AT&T is rolling out over the air weighs in at a bit over 1.4 GB, and includes the Samsung Experience 9.0 UI - the same that you’ll find on the brand new Galaxy S9 and S9+ out of the box. The update also brings Google’s latest security patch (for March).
