Apple offers $50 refund for users who replaced their old iPhone batteries in 2017

Apple will refund customers who paid for out-of-warranty battery replacements on their iPhone 6 or later devices in 2017, according to an official statement released by the company today.

Apple will refund customers with a $50 credit under the following conditions:

Battery was swapped at an Apple-authorized serviceBattery was replaced between January 1st, 2017 through December 28th, 2017Refund applies to battery replacements on iPhone 6 or later devicesCustomers might need to provide proof of the battery service transaction
