Xiaomi has finally revealed why it's skipping the Mi 7 in favor of the Mi 8. Following the Chinese brand's previous naming scheme, its next flagship would predictably be called the Xiaomi Mi 7. However, this will not be the case, with the company confirming that its next flagship will be arriving May 31 under the Mi 8 name.
