Samsung continued to lead the way in the smartphone industry according to analytical firm Canalys. The company delivered more than 79 million units during the quarter running from April through June, 2017, which resulted in some minor growth. While Apple had to settle for second place by shipping 41.3 million units of the iPhone, that did result in 2% growth year-over-year.
