Facebook launches Messenger Lite app in 150 additional countries

Facebook launched the Messenger Lite for Android devices back in October, but the app was only available in five emerging markets: Kenya, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Tunisia, and Venezuela.

In the next month following the release of Messenger Lite, developers have worked hard to bring the service to other countries. Today, Facebook announced that Messenger Lite had been enabled in 150 additional countries including Germany, Colombia, Italy, Vietnam, Algeria, Morocco, Nigeria, Peru, Turkey, Japan, Taiwan, and the Netherlands.
