It has been quite a week for Amazon's Echo line up. Not only did Amazon revise the original Echo by adding a cloth cover, it made the new version of the original smart speaker shorter and fatter. The Amazon Echo Plus looks like the original Echo, adding improved Dolby sound and enhanced voice recognition. The addition of the ZigBee smart home hub makes it easier for users to control smart home products like entertainment systems, climate controls, locks and more. Other new models and accessories include the Echo Spot, the Echo Connect and Buttons.
With a pair of claims disseminated over social media pertaining to swollen batteries found on the Apple iPhone 8 Plus, the company is going to take the time to investigate the phones, the batteries and anything else it needs to examine to make sure that it has a legitimate theory about the circumstances surrounding the incidents. At least one of the social media posts included pictures showing that the battery swelling pushed the phone's screen right out of its housing.

FCC chairman Ajit Pai called on Apple today to turn on FM radio chips found inside older iPhone models.
