LG's first 5G phone may follow the LTE-limited G8, foldable launch rumored for Q3 2019

LG has had a busy but not particularly successful year in the challenging smartphone landscape, losing money on a crowded high-end product portfolio and a bunch of mid-rangers that didn't do enough to stand out from the pack.

With a new captain appointed to right the troubled ship, the company is reportedly in the process of laying out its 2019 roadmap, most likely starting with a January announcement of the mid-end LG Q9.
