Samsung makes 1TB smartphone storage possible, but not for the Galaxy S10

While Samsung billed the Galaxy Note 9 as one of the world’s first “terabyte ready” phones, the S Pen-wielding powerhouse still needed a (rather costly) microSD card to cross the 512GB internal storage barrier.

That wasn’t ideal from either a speed or convenience standpoint for the most demanding digital hoarders, but until today, smartphone manufacturers had no other choice than to combine internal and external memory in order to break the “terabyte threshold.”

Unsurprisingly, Samsung, which just so happens to be the world’s largest chipmaker in addition to the number one ...
