For the past couple of years, it doesn't take long to realize that one of the most often requested software features users have clamored for is the venerable "dark mode", or "night mode" if you will. iOS and Android are both slated to receive system-wide dark modes in the fall, though many phone manufacturers have taken users' demand close to heart and included dark mode into their custom Android interfaces. The same applies to a large majority of the most popular mobile apps found on both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store, and with a few notable exceptions (looking at you Instagram) ...
