TSMC reportedly asked by the U.S. to build a total of six fabs in the states

TSMC is considering a request, reportedly made by the United States, to build as many as six fabs in Arizona over a three-year period as U.S. lawmakers want to see more chip production sourced from the states instead of Asia.
