Verizon starts pushing Android 8.0 Oreo update to the Pixel and Pixel XL

Verizon announced a new major Android update is now available for Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones. The carrier-branded handsets are now receiving the update that's been released by Google last week, which is quite surprising.

Usually, carrier-bound smartphones get updates much later than unlocked models. If you've purchased the Pixel or Pixel XL via Verizon, you can now download the new Android 8.0 Oreo update.
