U.S. carriers confirm the Essential Phone will work on their networks, but none will offer it directly (UPDATED)

UPDATE: Andy Rubin confirmed in an interview with Recode's Walt Mossberg that his Essential Phone will be available for purchase online, but also via carriers in the U.S. and other retailers. However, he didn't say which carriers will offer the Essential Phone, although we expect more details soon.
