Some Huawei devices will soon begin receiving updates every two months

Much like South Korean rival Samsung, Huawei hasn’t necessarily built up the best reputation for itself when it comes to software updates. In fact, the company most recently denied its 2016 flagship Huawei P9 an update to Android 8.0 Oreo, despite having received just one major update since its launch.

In a bid to change this, though, the brand has now announced that it’s committing to rolling out firmware updates on a bi-monthly schedule for various 2017 and 2018 devices, although, unsurprisingly, it appears this plan is largely aimed at flagship models. Primarily, each update will include ...
